Tyre wins another award

Trelleborg received the Silver Ears 2013 innovation award for its ProgressiveTraction technology at agricultural expo Agribex 2013 in Brussels, Belgium, last week.
Agribex organiser Fedagrim announced the winners of the awards that recognise groundbreaking machines and technologies in the agricultural industry.
The ProgressiveTraction tyre, which was designed to boost farming efficiency thanks to a double lug, was also named Machine of the Year at Agritechnica 2013 held in November.

CVS wins machine order

CVS Ferrari srl has received an order for eight units of its F400 laden reach stacker container handlers from METRANS as.
The F400 reach stacker, equipped with a 270 kW engine, has variable displacement hydraulic piston pumps with load sensing system and a CVS Ferrari telescopic spreader.
METRANS, part of the HHLA group of companies, has a fleet of about 50 trucks from CVS Ferrari operating in its European container terminals, mainly in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria.

QNB works with Hyundai agent

Qatar National Bank (QNB) has signed an agreement with equipment dealer QBC, launching an equipment finance program targeted at Qatar's small and medium construction firms.
Financing ranging from 75-84% of the equipment's value is available, for between one to three years, through the bank's business banking division to QBC's Hyundai forklift customers.
QBC is a heavy equipment supplier and Hyundai's exclusive agent in Qatar.

TMHIT gets certified

Toyota Material Handling Italia (TMHIT) has become the first sales subsidiary of Toyota Material Handling Europe to receive OHSAS 18001 certification.
Based in Casalecchio di Reno near Bologna, the company's premises, including offices, a warehouse and a workshop with dedicated areas where used tracks and rental fleet are inspected and reconditioned, cover about 8,000 sqm (86,111 sqft.).
TMHIT is now OHSAS 18001:2007 certified for its health and safety management in the workplace.

Camoplast Solideal signs new deal

Camoplast Solideal Inc has signed a new two-year agreement for the supply of port transport trailer tyres to PSA Singapore Terminals (PSA).
"Camoplast Solideal has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with PSA and is pleased to have the opportunity to extend this business relationship," says vice president and CEO Asia Pacific Gregory Fossey. PSA requires "robust, reliable and durable" tyres to endure the intense use of their transport trailer applications.
"Our products are made with tough, anti-abrasion, tear-resistant rubber compounds that can handle the most severe job conditions and provide ultimate durability," Fossey explains.
