Flexi now has over 300 trucks in its STR fleet. |
Flexi Narrow Aisle is investing over GBP1mllion (USD1.5 million) in its short-term rental (STR) fleet.
The investment means that Flexi now has over 300 trucks in its STR fleet, which it claims to be "considerably more than any other articulated forklift specialist".
The average age of the trucks in Flexi's STR fleet is now under four years old.
Flexi sales and marketing director John Maguire says there is a growing trend of the use of Flexi articulated trucks across all UK industry sectors and short-term rental is increasingly attractive to more and more companies, to support seasonal peaks and increased business levels.
"Short-term rental appeals to companies for various reasons but operational and budgetary flexibility are perhaps the biggest drivers," Maguire explains.
"Companies can add short-term rental trucks to their fleet to cover busy periods while finance directors can find short-term contracts useful as the trucks do not always need to appear in the user company's balance sheet," he adds.
The full range of Flexi articulated forklifts is available on short-term hire contracts.
Separately, Flexi Narrow Aisle recently built six Flexi forklifts in record time to meet the needs of an Indian leading food manufacturer. ITC required trucks that could operate in a new warehouse that would receive goods from its factory just six weeks after placing the order. The trucks had to be air freighted to India.
