Operator uses forklift to move packages of meals for Feeding Children Everywhere. |
The Nashville operation of Forklift Systems Inc assisted a non-profit organisation with a significant one-day need and limited resources.
Feeding Children Everywhere, of Longwood, Florida, needed a forklift for its CARE for AIDS imPACKt2013 event with students at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
The organisation's
blog posting says company president Duane Hardy "stepped in and offered to donate a rental forklift, which we needed to load all the healthy meals the students packaged. We'd like to thank Forklift Systems Inc for [its] generous donation to Feeding Children Everywhere. We could not have loaded all the healthy meals without your help!"
Also during April, the CARE for AIDS program partnered with Furman University, in Greenville, South Carolina, and Truman State University, in Kirksville, Missouri. Hundreds of students packaged more than 300,000 meals at three Hunger Project sites. The main components are lentils, rice, a blend of six dehydrated vegetables and pink Himalayan salt. The organisation gives the meals to children at 15 centres in Kenya.
Forklift Systems represents the Nissan, Doosan, Advance, Jungheinrich, and Cushman brands in Nashville and has a facility in Birmingham, Alabama.
