With order picking being the most time-consuming and costly operation in any warehouse, it's vital fleet managers select the most productive trucks for the job... which is why
the latest range of 1.0-2.0 tonne N010-20NE(P)/NEX(P)/NEF(P) Cat® low-level order pickers have been designed to provide the very highest standards of productivity and operator comfort, with a wide range of features to keep drivers safe and focused on the task at hand.

The smooth continuous power and precise drive control from the latest AC drive technology on these trucks provide excellent acceleration and manoeuvrability, making it easier than ever for operators to move swiftly and precisely from location to location. An automotive-style steering wheel makes truck control highly instinctive and puts all the major truck functions within reach of one hand, while a clear LCD display supplies all the key operating information at a glance.

A class-leading 540mm deep operator compartment combined with the low step height and wide entry/exit points with chamfered corners makes it quick and easy to mount and dismount, speeding up picking cycles. Models with rising forks (standard cantilever forks on the NO10NEF/ NO10NEFP and scissor lifting forks on the NO20NEX/NO20NEXP) allow the load carrier to be raised by 800mm, doing away with unnecessary bending and stretching. Scissor lift models also come with 2,400mm long forks for two Europallets or three roll containers to be carried at once, allowing picking routes to be extended and reducing unnecessary travel time.

A rising operator platform on the NO20NEP, NO20NEXP and NO10NEFP allows picking at heights of up to 2,500mm, and both forks and platforms can be raised while driving via steering wheel-mounted controls as each location is approached, saving precious seconds. A foot-operated button also saves time by letting operators lower the platform with their hands full.

Rounded fork tips and tandem load wheels encourage smooth pallet entry from any angle, further helping to speed up handling cycles, while the trucks' onboard presence detection system uses the entire floor mat, cutting the time taken to detect operators and actually start work.

The latest models feature bright white front LED lights to ensure that truck operators can see and be seen, even in low light environments, and also act as turn signals to make the driver's intentions clear. Safety is further augmented with automatic speed reduction in curves, an automatic reduction in maximum travel speed depending on the load being carried, and automatic steering wheel centring to prevent the truck from moving off in an unexpected direction.

The many optional extras include walk-by-side drive and fork lift controls that do away with the need for operators to remount between picks where only short distances need covering and a load tray for temporarily storage of picked goods when the platform is in raised position.

The new NO10-20NE(P)/NEX(P)/NEF(P) models are just part of a wide array of top quality materials handling solutions offered by Cat Lift Trucks via an extensive worldwide network of dealers. The range comprises electric, LPG and diesel-powered counterbalanced trucks and a host of warehouse handling solutions including power pallet trucks, stackers, low and high level order pickers, standard and four-way reach trucks and tow trucks.

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
