Two new Liebherr STS Cranes are working at the JSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok. |
Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd has delivered and commissioned two Panamax ship-to-shore (STS) cranes in Vladivostok, and has taken orders for STS cranes to be delivered to Novorossiysk and St Petersburg.
The cranes delivered to the JSC Commercial port of Vladivostok are now operating at the port and join a pair of Liebherr rail-mounted gantry cranes in operation since 2011.
The new cranes have an outreach of 38 m (125 ft.), a back reach of 11 m (36 ft.) and have a span of 15.3 m (50.2 ft.). The 60 T twin-lift cranes have a spreader height over rail of 28 m (91.9 ft.). Both cranes feature remote diagnostics, which can be accessed from the port or from the Liebherr Container Cranes service department in Ireland.
Meanwhile, Liebherr has also taken an order to deliver a second Post-Panamax crane to JSC Nutep in Novorossiysk. The crane, which is identical to a previous Liebherr STS crane commissioned in 2009, has an outreach of 46 m (151 ft.), a back reach of 15 m (49.2 ft.) and a span of 15.24 m (50 ft.). It has a safe working load of 50 T under a single lift spreader. Remote diagnostics and crane-to-crane anti-collision systems will be supplied with the crane.
In St Petersburg, Liebherr has signed a major contract with OJSC Petrolesport for the supply of three Panamax STS cranes. The cranes have an outreach of 38.5 m (126.3 ft.), a back reach of 15 m (49.2 ft.), a span of 22.5 m (73.8 ft.) and a safe working load of 50 T with a single lift telescopic spreader. The spreader has a lift height of 28 m (91.9 ft.) over rail and can hoist at speeds of 60 m/min to 140 m/min (197 ft./min to 459 ft./min), and is capable of trolley speeds of 180m/min (591 ft./min). The new STS cranes will join 10 Liebherr rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes already at the port and five additional Liebherr RTGs, scheduled for delivery over the next few months.
The value of the orders is confidential.
