Liebherr straddle carrier in action at Peel Ports (The Port of Liverpool, United Kingdom).

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd has supplied two SC350T straddle carriers to Peel Ports in Liverpool. The port has also reserved the option to purchase additional units later this year.

The order value is confidential.

Liebherr has developed the electrical drive and control system of the straddle carriers. The company says its design "brings new and innovative features" to the straddle carrier market, like "four-axle steering and brake by wire".

The Port of Liverpool currently operates seven Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes.
