Material Handling Products Corp (MHP) is a new authorised distributor for Nissan Forklift Corp serving upstate New York and portions of Vermont.

"We've had our eyes on the Nissan brand for several years," says Scott Minich, MHP president. "It was a natural fit for a lift truck partner."

A MHP site in East Syracuse covers the greater Syracuse region of New York State, and another facility in Rotterdam handles the Schenectady-Albany area of New York State and the Burlington, Vermont markets. MHP also serves the Binghamton, New York region.

In addition to Nissan Forklift and its Barrett sister brand, MHP represents V Mariotti Srl's specialty lifts, Landoll Corp's narrow-aisle Drexel and Bendi models and Omega Lift's rough terrain forklifts. MHP also offers Kelley dock equipment, TNR and Albany high-speed doors, TKO knockout overhead doors, Miror high-efficiency lighting and Ridg-U-Rak racking.

Robert Minich founded MHP in 1951.

"MHP's dedication to providing quality products and sensitivity to customer needs make the company an ideal partner," Mark Manninen, director of distribution management and sales intelligence for Nissan Forklift, says in announcing the appointment.

Marengo-based Nissan Forklift designs, manufactures and supports a complete line of material handling equipment. Nissan Forklift has a network of more than 100 authorized dealerships with 225 locations across North and South America.
