Nissan Forklift Corp is marketing the GO6 Series as a heavy-load addition to its Platinum line of materials handling equipment.

The pneumatic tyre forklift series features a turbo charger-equipped Isuzu 4HK1-TC 5.2-l diesel engine that enables the models of the series to lift loads of 15,500-17,500 lb. (6,975-7,875 kg) and reach heights up to 26 ft. (7.8 m).
The engine's common rail fuel injection system uses an optimal amount of fuel for power and fuel economy.

The engine is certified under US Environmental Protection Agency Tier III provisions and California Air Resources Board requirements.

In addition to the GO6 Series, Nissan Forklift's Platinum line includes the Nomad Compact rated at 3,000-5,000 lb. (1,350-2,250 kg), the Platinum II rated at 3,000-7,000 lb. (1,350-3,150 kg) and the GO4 Series rated at 8,000-11,000 lb. (3,600-4,950 kg).

Marengo-based Nissan Forklift is a subsidiary of Nissan Forklift Co Ltd of Yokohama, Japan within the Nissan Motor Co Ltd family. Nissan Forklift Corp has about 100 dealerships with more than 225 locations in North, Central and South America.

Nissan Motor and Hitachi Construction Machinery Co say they plan to integrate their forklift businesses by March 2012 (Forkliftaction.com News #542).
