Manitex Liftking UTC has appointed Welch Equipment Co as an authorised dealer for full-service locations in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Salt Lake City, Utah.
Effective from 1 December, Welch Equipment added representation of Liftking and Noble straight-mast rough-terrain forklifts, Lowry high-capacity cushion-tyred forklifts and DynaLugger log and lumber handlers.
Woodbridge-based Manitex Liftking manufactures the brands of materials handling equipment.
Welch has more than 26 years of experience in the materials handling industry, according to Brian McKenzie, Manitex Liftking commercial sales and marketing manager.
The addition of Welch Equipment "fills a big gap in coverage" for Liftking in the south west US market, McKenzie notes.
Denver-based Welch Equipment has about 130 employees, says John Snyder, general sales manager. The dealership has capabilities to provide solutions to material handling, storage and material process flow issues.
Established in 1985, Welch Equipment continues to represent the Raymond forklift brand, Hoist Liftruck heavy-duty equipment line and Aichi and JLG aerial equipment in all four locations. In addition, Welch represents Toyota forklifts in Denver, New Mexico and southern Wyoming and the Clark and Doosan brands in Utah.
Welch stocks Interlake Mecalux Inc industrial storage pallet racks, Cubic Designs Inc mezzanines, KardexRemstar International automated storage and retrieval systems, ITC Manufacturing Inc wire fabrications, West Point Rack Inc stacking racks and Konstant storage products. Konstant is the new identity for the Econo-Rack Group Inc.
Manitex Liftking is a subsidiary of Manitex International Inc, which is publicly traded and has headquarters in Bridgeview, Illinois.
