Hyster Europe will benefit from the opening of a new NACCO concept centre to develop Hyster forklifts.
The centre in Hampshire, England, will work on the development of intelligent designs for Hyster forklifts. It will include offices, a workshop and test facilities.
Engineering operations leader Mark Stent explains: "Our aim is to complement and support the existing design centres located around the world. We will support them with a truly global view and ensure Hyster remains a market leader in years to come."
The team of design engineers will develop 3D models, build prototype forklifts and components, and test and validate equipment prior to introduction into the manufacturing process.
"We will be developing new Hyster concepts that help reduce cost of ownership and increase productivity, reliability and energy efficiency," Stent says. "Hyster already has a technically leading product range and we want to maintain this lead as technology evolves. It is an exciting time for innovation."
