Providing one of the toughest and most reliable warehouse workhorses around, the new Cat® NSP10-16N2 range of pedestrian stackers will delight fleet managers and operators with a pleasing combination of features that enhance productivity while providing excellent levels of comfort and safety and the lowest possible whole-life costs.

Designed for short to medium distances, the NSP10-16N2 comes in four lift capacities that make light work of typical warehouse loads, with the muscle to take 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 or 1.6 tonnes to heights of up to 5.4 metres using a range of high-strength masts that reduce load movement to an absolute minimum.

Operators will appreciate the ease and precision with which the NSP10-16N2 can be handled, thanks to the comfortable, easy-to-use controls on its tiller arm (such as the large lift and lower levers) and the confidence-inspiring traction and acceleration that result from the latest AC drive technology, They will also like the super-quiet, oil-filled transmission and the advanced programmable controller, which lets users prioritise between faster performance and smoother handling with lower energy consumption, helping to prolong shift life and ensure the most appropriate performance settings for the environment.

To help maximise manoeuvrability and control in confined spaces, the truck can be driven with the tiller arm locked in the vertical position in ultra-low-speed 'tortoise' mode. To boost safe handling, meanwhile, a height-adjustable castor wheel eliminates play and raises load stability.

With its sturdy chassis construction and endurance-tested forks providing robustness and reliability in even the toughest environments, the NSP10-16N2 will spend less time in the maintenance bay than fleet managers might expect, too. The closed chassis and waterproof electrics help resist the effects of moisture, dirt and corrosion and the integrated drive and lift system has fewer components than previous models, reducing the scope for breakdowns. A fully enclosed compartment with steel cover also protects the battery from impact, avoiding the need for costly and unnecessary battery replacement.

Easy access to critical truck components will keep maintenance engineers happy, encouraging fast fault diagnosis and speedy maintenance and helping to squeeze downtime to a minimum. The replacement of the U-shaped battery on previous models with a standard battery, meanwhile, allows interchangeability with other brands.

In addition to the regular pedestrian versions, the 1.2, 1.4 and 1.6 tonne NSPN2 trucks come in variants with a fold-down operator platform that helps keep driver fatigue at bay (N2R models) and initial lift versions which allow for increased ground clearance for work on inclines or ramps (N2I models). For applications involving bottom boarded or extra wide pallets, the 1.6 tonne model is also available in two straddle versions (N2S models), one pedestrian and one with a fold-down platform.

The NSP10-16N2 range of stackers are just part of a wide array of top quality materials handling solutions offered by Cat Lift Trucks via an extensive worldwide network of dealers. The range comprises electric, LPG and diesel-powered counterbalanced trucks and a host of warehouse handling solutions including pedestrian and ride-on power pallet trucks, stackers, low and high level order pickers, standard and four-way reach trucks and tow trucks.
