The Isoloader Low Lifter - Battery Electric E-Straddle or Diesel Power |
Isoloader pioneered the use of small straddle carriers and Rubber Tyred Gantry cranes (RTG's) away from port operations in the early 80's. Isoloader engineers began creating innovative home-grown straddle solutions based on the philosophy of distributing the load over four points around the container. Now, over 30 years on from those beginnings, Isoloader has grown and continues to innovate with a diverse range of straddle carrier and RTG innovations now on offer.Power: Diesel, Electric or HybridIn the past, diesel hydraulic power systems have dominated the container handling sector and have been the norm. The recent improvement in both battery and drive technologies, particularly from the electric car industry, has allowed
Isoloader to develop clean, quiet straddle carrier solutions. These design solutions are ideal for customers looking for an emission free option with reduced maintenance.
The Isoloader Low Lifter - Battery Electric E-Straddle or Diesel Power |
|
The battery electric
E-Straddle is an attractive option for operations where containers are being brought inside, and where both noise and emissions create an OH&S issue for other occupants. The charging time is comparatively short and energy from braking and load lowering is directed back to the batteries during operation. The Isoloader Low Lifter was the first telescopic straddle carrier in the market and is capable of stacking containers two high and passing under low doors. When combined with E-Straddle electric technology, this model is an excellent option for indoor container handling needs.
For larger equipment such RTG's, a diesel-electric hybrid power source leads to a significantly smaller diesel engine and greatly reduced fuel consumption.
Isoloader Multi-Steer Modes. New levels of Manouverability |
Multi-Steer ModesIsoloader offers steering modes that allow for high levels of manoeuvrability previously not seen from container handling equipment.
Carousel turns allow the machine to turn a container around its centre.
90degree transfer allows the machine to travel at 90 degrees to normal forward travel, while
Pivot Turn allows very tight turns around a single wheel. Customers handling containers are looking for how to best use the space they have. Alternative steering modes offer new ways to utilise a site and may be the only option to be able to negotiate the space available.
Spreading the Load...4,6,8For the majority of sites which handle containers, the load spread over 4 separated points has been proven to be the effective long-term solution. Where significantly lower wheel loads are required such as on sites with very light pavements or poor substrates, 6 and 8 wheel solutions are offered. Each wheel pair is spread sufficiently to distribute the load down through the pavement while still maintaining the narrow machine profile required for straddle operation.
The 3 high Econolifter offers maximum storage capacity and proven durability |
Rough Ground - Terrain Levelling SuspensionTo maintain support over all wheels while on uneven ground, Isoloader straddles use a hydraulic system that ensures loads are balanced across the machine. This system is comparable to the pivoting axle of a forklift and allows positive traction, ensuring a long machine life.
Isoloader continues to bring straddle solutions to the market, providing businesses with a cost competitive, quality choice and the equipment best suited to their operation.
