National transport and logistics company CRT Group has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract with leading plastics and chemicals supplier, Australian Vinyls Corporation (AV).
Under the five-year agreement, CRT, a subsidiary of QR National, has been appointed the primary contractor for AV's bulk domestic and international containerised freight and distribution requirements.
CRT group general manager Richard Spall says the company is committed to finding better ways to meet the growing supply chain demands faced by the plastics and chemicals industry.
The company transports up to one million tonnes a year for domestic and international plastics and chemicals suppliers.
AV's Laverton plant produces 140,000 tonnes of PVC annually. Over 65% of all PVC consumption in Australia is by the building and infrastructure sectors.
