David Goss
British Materials Handling Federation - United Kingdom
The United Kingdom Material Handling Association (UKMHA) has announced its technical director David Goss has been appointed president of the British Materials Handling Federation (BMHF) for a two-year term.
Comprising the British National Committee of the European Materials Handling Federation (FEM), the BMHF promotes the UK’s material handling sector and the interests of the six trade member associations on the European stage.
Outgoing BMHF president Dave Berridge says: “The BMHF plays a vital role in supporting UK trade associations and their members in the material handling sector. As such, it is important that the federation is presided over by a respected individual with extensive experience and industry expertise. As the UKMHA’s technical director, my successor David Goss is an ideal fit for the position”.
Goss will continue to serve as UKMHA’s technical director during his time as BMHF’s president.
Joni Casey
Intermodal Association of North America - United States
Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) president and chief executive officer Joni Casey will retire at the end of the year after 27 years at the helm of the organisation.
“It has been a privilege and an incredible opportunity to witness and contribute to the evolution and growth of the intermodal industry,” says Casey.
Under Casey's leadership, IANA has achieved significant milestones, including: the growth in membership from several hundred companies to more than 1,000; the creation and expansion of industry technology programs under its intermodal information services; the scholarship program aimed at fostering the next generation of talent in freight and intermodal transportation; and the initiation of an industry advocacy program designed to increase the association’s visibility before policymakers.
Prior to joining IANA, Casey was the executive director of the American Trucking Association’s Intermodal Council, and the president and chief executive officer of the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA).
Trevor Ash, chair of IANA's board of directors and chief executive officer of CIE Manufacturing, says: “Joni’s transformative leadership has shaped IANA into a dynamic organisation poised to address the evolving needs of the intermodal community. Her legacy is one of innovation, resilience, and steadfast commitment to advancing intermodal transportation.”
IANA's board has begun searching for Casey’s successor.
