Cargotec has appointed Casimir Lindholm as its new president and CEO as of 1 April 2023, when incumbent Mika Vehviläinen retires.
Lindholm has held CEO positions both in Eltel and Lemminkäinen and many board memberships, bringing a wealth of experience to Cargotec. He has been a member of Cargotec's board of directors since 2021, and due to his appointment, he will no longer be available for re-election.
Lindholm is a seasoned leader as a listed company CEO with a proven track record of reshaping businesses. His participation in Cargotec’s board is an advantage, providing profound knowledge and understanding of Cargotec’s business and strategic direction, the board explains.
Chairman Jaakko Eskola has meanwhile expressed the board’s gratitude to Vehviläinen for his leadership and outstanding contributions to the business. Vehviläinen was appointed as Cargotec CEO in 2013 and the company announced his resignation late last year.
Andreas Krause

Krause
COO Andreas Krause has left Clark Europe at his own request to devote himself to other tasks in the future. Krause had been employed at the Clark Europe headquarters in Duisburg since 2008 and was responsible for spare parts, order processing, technical support, IT, the European Development Centre, and logistics from 2019.
The position of COO will not be filled at Clark Europe. Instead, Krause's areas of responsibility have been reallocated within Clark.

Logistics UK has strengthened its board with the appointment of three new directors. Louisa Hosegood, Simon Hobbs and Gavin Murdoch join the organisation’s board to help guide the business as it continues to lead the logistics industry in its post-pandemic recovery, as well as establishing itself as a top-three business group with government and other stakeholders.
Hosegood, now strategy and transformation director for Bis Henderson Group, previously worked in senior roles with John Lewis Partnership, Marks & Spencer and Tesco PLC. She is passionate about fit-for-future joined-up supply chains, and is currently central to developing innovative, customer-centric services across the Bis Henderson’s consulting, warehousing space and recruitment businesses.

Hobbs is CEO of Kinaxia Logistics, one of the UK’s fastest-growing logistics businesses, which currently operates more than 850 vehicles and 2.7 million sqft. (250,000 sqm) of warehousing nationwide. Prior to joining Kinaxia, he gained 35 years’ experience with organisations including DHL Supply Chain, CEVA Logistics and Kuehne & Nagel.
Murdoch
Murdoch joined DHL Supply Chain in 1996 in Northern Ireland and has subsequently worked in many of the company’s operations around the world. Now managing director of network transport solutions at DHL Supply Chain UK he leads a team of cross-sector experts driving growth, efficiency and carbon reduction, as well as upskilling the next generation of employees.

Hoppecke UK - United Kingdom
Hoppecke UK is continuing to build its team to maintain customer service levels amid increasing demand for its materials handling equipment (MHE) batteries and a growing involvement in rail projects.
Of the six new appointments announced at Hoppecke's Staffordshire hub, three are additions to the warehouse team while the company has recruited and promoted from within to boost its engineering capability.
General manager Stuart Browne says: "We were busier than ever in 2022 as more and more logistics businesses turned to us for preventative maintenance, so it was essential to put in place the resources to maintain high standards of customer service. Growing the team means we can do so much more to support customers around the country."
Warehouse technician Weston Coyney has more than 10 years' warehousing and logistics experience, while Nick Hissey is new to the industry, having worked in brewery distribution for over 20 years. Meanwhile, after four years as a warehouse technician, Jason Harrison is now an engineer carrying out modifications to train batteries.
Daniel Thomson, formerly with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Antonio Gallo are field service engineers. As well as maintaining existing batteries and chargers, they help customers to reduce operational costs and improve energy efficiency.
In the rail sector, Hoppecke works in partnership with key rolling stock operators to develop practical, cost-effective solutions. Tayyab Mohammad, who has a Masters degree in electrical engineering, has joined the company specifically to help develop this growing side of the business.
