Xtreme Manufacturing and
Snorkel have promoted John Gill to chief manufacturing officer (CMO). Reporting directly to CEO Matthew Elvin, this is a new role that has been created to provide direction at an executive level overseeing all manufacturing operations.
Gill joined the business in November 2016, as director of manufacturing operations based at the Snorkel facility in the UK. Originally from North East England, he began his career in the power generation industry before joining Komatsu in 1988 in its production engineering department. After 13 years with Komatsu, he joined JCB as managing director of JCB Heavy Products, a role that he held for eight years, and then was managing director of the telehandler division for four years.
Gill will remain based in the UK, but will travel regularly to all facilities.

UniCarriers Europe has appointed Masashi Takamatsu as its new president. In his role, he is focusing on strengthening the UniCarriers and TCM brands, which will be further developed under the umbrella of UniCarriers' new owner, Mitsubishi Logisnext. Takamatsu takes over the position from Nobuo Yo, who returns to Japan as head of the overseas sales division of the company.
Takamatsu has extensive expertise in the materials handling industry and direct sales of forklifts. Among other roles, he worked in the Netherlands and in Sweden for UniCarriers' original brands, Nissan and Atlet, before moving to Thailand to take over as president of UniCarriers Asia in 2012.

MHEDA team as director of information technology.
Zarling brings over 24 years of association experience, having previously worked for ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association. Having served in various roles at ISSA, including in member services, as technology services manager and, most recently, as director of IT, Zarling will oversee all association digital projects, including the final implementation of MHEDA's newly revamped website, the upgraded learning management system and the membership conversion to a new association software platform.
