Plug Power Inc has appointed Paul B Middleton as chief financial officer. Middleton has a background in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, controls and risk management for manufacturing and technology companies. He comes to Plug Power from Rogers Corporation, a global manufacturer and distributor of specialty polymer composite materials and components. Throughout his 12 years at Rogers, he served in senior financial leadership roles including principal accounting officer, treasurer and interim chief financial officer.
He has substantial international exposure, and he will be instrumental to Plug Power's growth both domestically and globally in markets like Europe and Asia. He has led successful acquisitions and integration projects, multiple facility and capacity expansions and numerous cost reduction initiatives.
Prior to his tenure with Rogers Corp, Middleton, a Certified Public Accountant, managed all financial administration for the USD900 million tools division of Cooper Industries.

CLARK Material Handling Company promoted Rob Smith to dealer development manager. Smith will report to Scott Johnson, who is vice president of business development.
In this new role, Smith will be calling on both existing and prospective dealers. He will support CLARK's existing field sales team with the training of dealers on CLARK's systems, programs, services and products. He will also canvas open territories for potential dealer candidates. He has over 10 years of forklift sales and marketing experience in the materials handling industry.
