Hirooki Fujiwara

Hirooki Fujiwara has been promoted to the position of chairman of Toyota Material Handling Europe AB (TMHE AB), replacing Christer Högberg, who is retiring on 1 April. Fujiwara was the vice chairman of the company.

Högberg has enjoyed a career with TMHE AB for 22 years, starting in the time of BIT Industries. Fujiwara joined Toyota Motor Corp in 1981 and gained overseas experience working in Indonesia, China and Europe. In 2011, he joined Toyota Industries Corp as operating officer. In June 2011, he was appointed vice chairman of TMHE.

Al Boston, CEO of AK Material Handling Systems; Doug Carson, vice president of sales and marketing of Fallsway Equipment Company; and Buddy Smith, CEO of Carolina Material Handling Services Inc, have been elected to serve on the association's board of directors.

Tim Tyler, president and CEO of Borroughs Corporation, has been elected to serve on MHEDA's Manufacturers board of advisors.
