Mobicon Systems has partnered with Portstar Machinery, New Zealand’s one stop shop for high quality equipment, parts, and service. Mobicon Systems have been supplying mini-straddle carriers to New Zealand businesses for over 20 years. The partnership with Portstar will allow Mobicon to expand their reach across New Zealand, providing both current, and future customers with first-class straddle carriers, and exceptional service.

Australian based Mobicon Systems has been designing and manufacturing mini-straddle carriers for over 25 years; supplying machines to businesses in Europe, the USA, the UK, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. Jesse Schultz, CEO of Mobicon Systems explained why Portstar Machinery was the right partner for Mobicon. “Portstar are a well-established NZ brand, with a long history of providing their customers with high quality machinery, and exceptional service. They pride themselves on the long-term relationships with their customers, and their commitment to providing technical support throughout the life of the machinery”.

Portstar Machinery provide new and used machinery for both purchase and hire. Their focus is on technical support, with all staff having a strong background in operating and repairing heavy machinery. Their customers include Ports of Auckland, and they work across the pacific islands including Vanuatu, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Australia, and East Timor.

For Portstar founder Ian Magee, partnering with Mobicon has ended the search for a lightweight container handler.  “We have long been looking for a suitable light weight container handling option to add to our range. Our priorities have always been reliability and total cost of life of machine. On this basis Mobicon is a perfect partner for us”.

There is the option for interested NZ businesses to view the Mobicon 2T and 2HL models in action, with machines-based in Auckland. For further information on how a Mobicon mini-straddle carrier can improve efficiency, increase productivity, and streamline your operations, contact Portstar (NZ) on +649 580 4180 or in Australia call +61 7 3811 5049.

These releases in Forkliftaction are a nice experience for SNDC... We got seven inquiries coming from Canada, USA, Mexico, Israel and Australia (five from retailers, two from machines manufacturers) and we are still in contact with them. I can state that's a success story!
