Two special productivity-focused models have been added to the award-winning PREMIA ES series of pedestrian power pallet trucks from Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks.

Designed specifically for applications involving occasional longer distances or intensive loading and unloading work, they offer the choice of a foldable ride-on platform or rising forks.

The spacious, comfortable, suspended platform of the PBP20N2R can be quickly deployed, whenever the operator chooses, for effortless travel. In every other respect this is a highly compact pedestrian power pallet truck like all others in the series.

Maximum speed is automatically limited to a safe 6 km/h - even when the platform is in use. When not needed, the platform simply folds up and the truck returns to normal operation.

To minimise strain on the operator when loading and uploading, the PBP20N2E has rising forks which can place the load at a convenient height of his or her choice - up to a maximum of 735 mm.

This is a major ergonomic advantage in applications which would otherwise involve a lot of bending of the operator's back.

PREMIA ES has already been recognised for its high-quality, functional design through a win in this year's red dot awards. The new models benefit from all the standard PREMIA features which have succeeded in increasing operators' sense of control and confidence.

They include: a compact shape and user-friendly tiller arm,
for exceptional manoeuvrability; a unique two-position performance mode switch for instant adaptation to varying needs; a market-leading lift height of 135 mm, to avoid problems posed by gradients, uneven surfaces and damaged pallets; and an amazing ability to carry on working despite rough treatment and harsh environmental conditions.
