Milagro, the four-month-old kitten.
A kitten whose Spanish name means Miracle has been rescued from being crushed by a forklift.

Portland's KOIN News 6 reported four-month-old Milagro had apparently sought refuge inside a forklift engine compartment at a Canby, Oregon, construction site.

When the forklift wouldn't start, a worker lifted the hood and found Milagro's eyes staring back at him.

The kitten was pulled from under a fan belt and rushed to the Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital where doctors stitched major lacerations along the length of his abdomen.
