Cashbuild's 100th Grendia

Mitsubishi distributor Masslift has delivered its 100th Grendia to Cashbuild, a leading building materials retailer.

To mark the occasion, Masslift had the forklift painted in Cashbuild's corporate colours and offered the retailer a year's worth of maintenance at no cost.

This was as a token of appreciation for the support that Cashbuild has provided to Masslift over recent years, according to Marco Caverni, sales director of Masslift.

Cashbuild named Masslift as its preferred supplier and put Mitsubishi Grendia forklifts into 100 stores across Southern Africa.

"I think it was the fuel saving that we offer that initially got Cashbuild interested. But I would like to believe that almost three years down the line, it is the relationship that we have built, based on good service, transparency and consistent communication that has cemented us as a Cashbuild supplier," Caverni adds.

"We are always searching for ways to reduce our cost while improving our efficiencies," says Etienne Prowse, financial director of the building materials supplier. "The Mitsubishi forklift provides Cashbuild with a major fuel saving, extended service intervals and a three-year/5,000-hour warranty. This, coupled with Masslift's service culture, means our partnership has really added value to Cashbuild."

Cashbuild is the largest retailer of building materials and associated products in Southern Africa, with 223 stores in South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana, Swaziland and Malawi.

Masslift Africa is the sole distributor of Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks in Southern Africa. With a head office in Sandton, Masslift has branches in Cape Town and Durban.
