The Manitex Liftking ULC subsidiary of Manitex International Inc has received a repeat order valued at USD4 million from an unidentified major military customer.
The subsidiary will manufacture the equipment in Woodbridge, Canada, for delivery in the first half of 2012. Capacities range from 50,000 lb. to 80,000 lb. (22,500 kg-36,000 kg).
"Our customer already operates a significant number of units of this specialised equipment and will expand its fleet with this order, providing us with an even more substantial relationship," says Mark Aldrovandi, who is responsible for Manitex Liftking's military, government and international agency sales.
Military organisations throughout the world use Manitex Liftking products, including rough terrain forklifts. "Military remains among the key markets we serve," Aldrovandi says.
