 Liebherr LRS 545 reachstacker |
Liebherr Maritime has expanded its reachstacker product line with two new devices. A powerful reachstacker with the lifting capacity of 35 T and a log handler for timber handling will complete the existing product family.
The new models come three years after Liebherr Maritime presented the first prototype of the LRS 545 reachstacker at TOC Europe in Rotterdam. Since the first introduction of the LRS 545 series, there have been a lot of changes and innovations within the reachstacker market. The company says the new models are designed to meet these growing demands on products.
"(Over) the last three years, we collected an enormous amount of valuable feedback from our customers. The operators praise particularly the stepless and gearless driving characteristics of our devices repeatedly. Thanks to the individual wheel drive and the excellent panoramic view from the driver's cab, our reachstackers are well-known for their high mobility and all-round visibility, even in terminals with narrow container rows," says Eric Colditz, Liebherr sales director for reachstacker.
The new LRS 545 - 35 is capable of lifting containers weighing up to 35 T out of the second row but retains the chassis of the common LRS series.
The new Log Handler, meanwhile, is designed for quick and easy service. All relevant parts are easily accessible which ensures short idle times. The machine has up to 30 T lifting capacity and a maximum grapple capacity of 8.2 m. A telescopic boom allows a range of up to 8.5 m and stacking height of up to 8.9 m.
