The Kiloutou group has acquired Bernard Location, a company specialising in the rental of equipment for the construction, public works and industrial sectors in the Ain region in Eastern France.

The transaction allows Kiloutou to expand its geographic coverage and to continue its development in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Bernard Location is a long-standing and recognised player in the area. It operates a branch in Montréal-la-Cluse near Oyonnax and has nearly 350 items of equipment of all sizes, particularly earthmoving and lifting equipment.

A Kiloutou statement says the acquisition enables it to complete its territorial coverage and to offer its customers an even higher level of service. “By integrating Bernard Location, Kiloutou can now draw on the expertise of 162 team members, a network of 17 branches and a fleet of more than 2,000 earthmoving and lifting machines as well as 7,500 tooling machines in the Alps region,” the company says.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Kiloutou claims to be Europe’s third-largest rental company and a major player in the French market, with a 40-year history, 7,000 employees, 300,000 customers and 350,000 equipment items serving over 660 branches.
