Jungheinrich is expanding as a logistics system provider by acquiring the remaining 75% of Innovative Systemlösungen für die Automation (ISA) GmbH.
Hamburg-based Jungheinrich had bought a 25% stake in ISA in November 2009
(Forkliftaction.com News #438). ISA, a warehousing and material flow engineering software company, is headquartered in Graz, Austria. Both parties agreed to keep the acquisition price confidential.
ISA will remain an autonomous company at its current location and will be assigned to Jungheinrich's Logistics Systems Sales division.
From January 2013, Markus Skof, 33, the current project and key account manager for Jungheinrich at ISA, and Dr Markus Heinecker, 36, the current head of warehouse management systems with Jungheinrich, will become ISA's managing directors.
Established in 1989, ISA's core competencies are integrated, holistic material flow and warehouse logistics solutions, complemented by associated services including project engineering, implementation, training and service. ISA currently employs about 70 people.
Jungheinrich is a forklift manufacturer, as well as intralogistics service and solution provider, offering shelving systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
