JLG Industries Inc has launched a Transformer telehandler and a line of Triple-L trailers at the annual American Rental Association (ARA) trade show, held from February 11 to 13 in Anaheim, California.
The ARA, which also hosted its 47th annual convention, chose JLG's Transformer machine as a finalist in the event's new product premiere on February 10. The winner was not announced before this issue of Forkliftaction.com News was published.
"JLG's innovative products have consistently been honoured with industry-leading recognition," said JLG sales, marketing & customer support senior vice president Craig Paylor.
The Transformer is a telehandler that an operator can convert to an aerial work platform in less than 10 minutes. In aerial mode, the machine has a lift capacity of 2,000 pounds (900 kilograms) and operates with full platform control and drive capability. As a fully functional telehandler, the machine has a capacity of 6,600 pounds (three tonnes).
The trailer line includes 20 models in three styles - flat bed, utility or enclosed - and has a Power Deck hydraulic system to lower the trailer to ground level.
JLG, based in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania, has manufacturing sites in the USA and Belgium, and sales and service locations in six continents.
