JCB has sold its 100th four-wheel-drive Teletruk, which was launched only in January.
Marketing service manager John Mitchell told Forkliftaction.com News at CeMAT this month that the forklift had "blurred the lines between industrial and semi-rough terrain" materials handling equipment.
The three-tonne capacity forklift was popular for applications where a conventional forklift would struggle, such as dealing with minor potholes, water or gradients.
With a 111-degree fork tilt capability, the Teletruk was being fitted with buckets and other attachments to diversify its use on construction sites, Mr Mitchell said.
"It's also been invaluable for customers loading lorries. With its forward reach capabilities, lorries need only be loaded from one side," he said. "This has meant huge space savings for many of our customers."
JCB's CeMAT display had the Teletruk demonstring its capabilities in a wide range of applications.
