Consolidated Fork Truck Services (CFTS) reminds UK forklift buyers to seek thorough examination certificates when considering forklift purchases.
CFTS said in a statement that it had received reports some dealers were supplying forklifts without providing thorough examination certificates, which are a UK legal requirement.

"Companies operating trucks without up-to-date certificates risk their employees' safety and face prosecution by the Health Safety Executive."
CFTS chairman Steve Hodkinson said the first thing buyers should look for was a thorough examination certificate. "Don't take the dealer's word for it. Insist on checking the certificate and take a copy," he said.
