It's a simple two-sentence announcement, but this one is sure to send speculation into overdrive. As we report this week, Crown Equipment Corporation has informed the market that it will be increasing prices from September 4, 2018.
So far, the other manufacturers and importers are tight-lipped, but there has been an expectation that prices will rise - fuelled by the US tariff imposition.
Also, the fact that the forklift market is running hot, with all manufacturers boasting growing sales and orders, must also be adding to the pressure to increase prices.
So, hang onto your hats. The ride may start to get bumpy ...
