Something strange is afoot. In a week when we see another manufacturer reporting strong sales and healthy margins, our team is hearing about end-users taking longer and longer to make purchase decisions.
It seems that there's a significant level of uncertainty among equipment buyers, especially in North America. For many, it looks like it's just too hard to make decisions about significant capital investments.
Maybe it's the Trump factor, or rising tensions in North Korea, or even lingering uncertainty about the eventual impact of Brexit, but the talk on the sales floor certainly contradicts the optimism we're hearing from the manufacturers.
We can't help but wonder where it's headed.
