One of our Discussion Forums contributors makes a valid point this week: if you ask for help, please have the courtesy of reporting back on the success or otherwise of the solutions suggested. Unfortunately, it is common for people to ask for advice and then disappear once the flurry of responses begins. We have seen threads continue for months after the original post, with the initiator of the discussion nowhere to be seen after the initial enquiry. Disappointingly, this means that all those kind souls who have taken the time to respond never know whether their suggestions helped - and anyone joining the discussion later also has no idea about the value of the advice offered. So please, if you ask for help, let us know if your problem has been resolved. Even a simple "all good, thanks for your advice" would be appreciated.
