A brief item this week covers the sentencing of a forklift broker in the US who took upfront payments and then failed to deliver forklifts.
Co-incidentally, last week Forkliftaction.com News broke a story in its Australian section about a similar activity under way in that country. While international readers may have missed it, we were tipped off by angry buyers who had parted with cash but not received any goods from Rapid Lift in Brisbane. The man many dealt with there, Graeme Dillon, was already facing fraud charges from a previous business - and that had been reported in this newsletter.
Nonetheless, people continued to deal with the accused and to hand over payments.
Hopefully, our story will stop others falling for such tricks.
And, in that spirit, if readers anywhere in the world fall prey to fraudsters, please let us know so that we can investigate and alert others.
