This week's feature article on the North American market is further proof that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. It's interesting to read how some players used the downtime in the wake of the GFC to regroup, rethink and undertake the changes that would not have been possible under heated market conditions. It takes courage to invest when things are looking gloomy, but in reality, there's no better time to make changes. Often, we're too busy doing what we do to rethink our methods, and the easing market demand gave some manufacturers time to take store. We salute those which have emerged stronger and better equipped to deal with the good time that hopefully lie ahead.
