There's no doubt that email is here to stay. And, according to a new survey in the US, it continues to grow as an advertising medium. Datran Media found that business executives see email as the best performing digital channel. Email outperformed search engine marketing, direct mail and all the other forms of marketing polled. Clearly, since you are reading via email, it works across multiple industries, crosses international borders and even works across traditional language barriers - provided it's clear and concise. Interestingly, more than 80% of those surveyed identified "reaching a target audience" as their top goal, and since email is so directed, it's no surprise that it was the tool of choice.
