There's no doubt that fuel will be the next big issue for everyone in the supply chain. Rising prices, fears of supply shortages and the environmental impact of carbon fuels mean that fuel efficiency may prove the key determinant of market success for forklift manufacturers. There has never been a better time for innovation and the exploration of alternative power sources. That's why it comes as no surprise that a number of manufacturers were showing "green" products at the world's leading trade show, CeMAT. This week, we report on some of the new products on show in Hannover, Germany, where rising fuel prices and environmental issues seemed to underpin a lot of planning and discussion.
