Technological advances are in the news this week, with new models being unveiled and robot-makers announcing network expansions and system upgrades.

One industry player suggested the current push towards automation in the materials handling sector could help solve the labour shortage being experienced in many countries around the world.

It’s heartening to see many of the new technologies are also focused at reducing carbon emissions, with the latest green energy solutions being taken up at cold storage distribution centres in France and Spain and HC Forklift releasing a new electric forklift model.
