Trying to keep up with new energy and technology options is almost as fast-paced as the logistics and goods movement sector itself. Ensuring your company's products are at the right place at the right time while also working towards transitioning fleets of vehicles (of all size and shapes) to operate cleaner and more efficiently is a daunting task to say the least.

Forkliftaction.com readers are hopefully already familiar with fuel cells and the benefits the technology brings to the material handling world through the coverage the growing list of customers and deployment numbers, as well as the expansion into tangential markets with new products and partnerships.

The number of fuel cell-powered forklifts and other material handling equipment currently in operation at distribution centers, warehouses, and cold storage facilities across the country has surpassed more than 27,000 units. Fuel cells are now proving themselves quickly at ports, airports, global courier service companies, and municipalities, powering not only forklifts, but drayage trucks and other logistics vehicles helping transport, store, and deliver items all around the world.

It is one thing to read about how FedEx, UPS, the U.S. Post Office, Sysco, Amazon, Walmart, and other companies are purchasing and deploying fuel cell-powered vehicles and the savings they are reporting - emissions, fuel, labor costs, it is another to see and hear it firsthand.

The Fuel Cell Seminar & Energy Exposition (FCS&EE) is the most comprehensive fuel cell and hydrogen industry conference in the U.S. The 2019 FCS&EE will take place November 5-7, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. It is the perfect venue to see, hear, and connect with the companies that can help you learn if fuel cells are a right fit for your company.

The FCS&EE brings together hundreds of international manufacturers, fuel providers, customers, policy makers, supply chain, integrators, academics, investors, media, and other key stakeholders. It combines high-level plenary and keynote talks, technical poster and breakout sessions covering all fuel cell applications and topic areas, a bustling Exhibit Hall, three networking receptions, a half-day U.S. Department of Energy H2@Scale workshop, and much more.

Registration provides access to a host of activities and opportunities to the learn about the latest market insights and strategies, R&D progress, and policy developments, while seeing products firsthand and making face-to-face connections with top industry executives.

The morning plenary talks will feature speakers from some of the industy's main players in the material handling and medium/heavy-duty mobility space, including fuel cell manufacturers Plug Power (U.S.), Ballard Power Systems (Canada), and PowerCell (Sweden). The Port of Long Beach, home to several fuel cell vehicle demonstrations right in the backyard of the 2019 FCS&EE, will also be presenting in one of the morning sessions.

The afternoon breakout sessions cover a host of technical topics, including hydrogen fueling, medium/heavy duty vehicles, cost analysis, regional initiatives, and more.
