Visibility for forklift operators has always been a problem when working in high lift warehouses or with bulky loads. A camera is one good answer but bringing the signal down to the monitor has been difficult.

Tele-camera signals are weak and easily distorted by standard brushes and they pick up interference from the electric fields caused by current spikes often associated with forklift trucks. Also, normal electrical cable fails early because of the constant pulling and bending, particularly around small pulleys.

Sattach Pty Ltd has just released an electrical reel that has been specially designed in Europe by Demac for this difficult application - with the following advantages:

~ silver rings in the brushes for better transmission
~ special electrical shielding around the conductors
~ use of hydraulic tubing for physical toughness

Sattach ensures all Demac cable reels come complete with crocodile tail and mounting brackets for a typical fork lift installation.
