FMH Material Handling Solutions Inc has acquired a Kubota dealership in Las Cruces, New Mexico and, separately, opened an additional site for forklift sales in Casper, Wyoming.
FMH purchased the Las Cruces agricultural tractor, construction equipment and rugged terrain vehicle operations of Air Cooled Engines Kubota on 15 July. Terms were not disclosed.
The authorised dealership operates now as the FMH Kubota division with a complete service and parts departments for products from Osaka, Japan-based Kubota Corp.
"By providing Kubota products for construction and agriculture, FMH will expand its existing customer base and deliver more value to customers in south New Mexico and in west Texas," says John Faulkner, president and owner of Denver-based FMH Material Handling Solutions.
Faulkner started a new location for forklift sales and service in Casper in June.
Other forklift operations of FMH serve the Denver; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and El Paso, Texas markets. In most markets, FMH represents the Big Joe, Caterpillar, Clark, Crown, Doosan, Donkey, Heli, JLG and Kalmar brands.
The trade group Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association of Vernon Hills, Illinois awarded its most valuable partner status to FMH for 2013. Fewer than 5% of the association's members earn the award.
