The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced 24 nominees from 19 companies who will compete for its annual awards next year at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole.
FLTA chairman Martyn Fletcher says: "This year's finalists - our official pick of the year's best products and services - represent the companies who have created something innovative and original that will make a real difference for the lives of those who work with and alongside forklifts."
Fletcher explains that each finalist has made a significant contribution to raising standards in the forklift industry, which is the awards' aim.
"That is why it is so important for their efforts to be recognised through a vote by the very people who stand to benefit from these achievements," he says.
Materials handling equipment users are encouraged to vote. This includes anyone who owns or hires forklifts, those who manage, supervise or train forklift operators, and the operators themselves who, with their first-hand experience, are perhaps the most discerning judges of all.
Voting for Awards 2012 is now open. The public voting will take place online, enabling the FLTA to ensure that only valid votes are counted. For more information on this year's finalists and on how to vote, visit
