Princes Foods has ordered Flexi Double Deep articulated forklifts |
Flexi Narrow Aisle says it has received a "significant order" for articulated truck technology from Italy.
Food and drink company Princes Foods has ordered Flexi Double Deep articulated forklifts for its 120,000 sqm (1,291,669 sqft.) processing plant in Foggia. Forkliftaction.com News contacted Flexi for details on the order but did not receive a response by press time.
Princes Foods claims the Foggia facility is the largest tomato processing plant in the world and one of the most advanced sites of its kind in Europe.
The company is rapidly expanding its food business in the European market through a growth strategy, which includes mergers and acquisitions and organic development.
"We are clearly delighted to have won this substantial contract," says John Maguire, sales and marketing director of Flexi Narrow Aisle. "We are an internationally focused manufacturing company with great products and a respected brand and this is reflected in the growing number of overseas buyers who are investing in Flexi brand articulated truck technology."
The value of the contract is confidential.
Princes' fleet at Foggia will be maintained by Flexi Narrow Aisle's local Italian distribution partner.
