At 14:46 hours (Japanese Standard Time) on March 11, the North-Eastern Territory on the main island of Japan including Tokyo and Yokohama was struck by strong earthquake (9.0 magnitude ). Then immediate afterwards, a tsunami hit the shoreline. It is estimated more than 20,000 people were possibly lost in the disaster.
In addition, a nuclear power plant located in the Fukushima Pref. was damage, and electricity supply has been cut, subject to emergency supply planning by authorities.

To date, some aftershocks have been recorded.
Meanwhile, all staff of F-Uchiyama Co., Ltd. are safe and the offices continue to operate. Also, our facilities escaped damage, fortunately.

We are operating as usual with no change.
- Public Transportation Services
Railway, Bus and Highway road are available, but some services are limited due to electricity shortages. Trucking and other transportation systems have been affected by shortages of gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene.

We are maintaining shipping arrangements, subject to shipping lines' notification of re-scheduling and /or detouring.
- Possible Radioactivity diffusion by damage of nuclear power plant
The fire-damage power plant is under control by the authority at the moment, but the long-term impact is uncertain. Meantime, the area is off-limits.
