Doosan Robotics Americas will integrate Rocketfarm’s palletising software into its collaborative robots (cobots) under a new strategic partnership between the two companies.
Doosan says using Pally software from Norway’s Rocketfarm will streamline palletising efficiencies for industries such as food and beverage, automotive and consumer packaged goods.
Rocketfarm chief executive officer Egil Mundal says his company’s Pally software, which is flexible and quick to install, paired with Doosan’s cobots will create a palletising system that is simpler, faster and more versatile than ever before.
“This partnership exemplifies Doosan’s commitment to democratising automation and making advanced robotics technology more accessible to business of all sizes from numerous industries,” says Alex Lee, president of Doosan Robotics Americas.
In May, at Automate 2024 in Chicago, Doosan Robotics unveiled its P3020, which it says is the world’s most powerful palletising cobot, with a payload of 30 kg and reach of 2.03 m.
The cobot can stack up to 10 layers of boxes approximately 8 in (20 cm) using its fixed base without a lift.
