Doosan has extended its 7-Series range |
Doosan Industrial Vehicle UK has launched its new range of 1.5 to 2.0 T electric forklifts.
Tim Waples, CEO of Doosan Industrial Vehicle UK, describes the new 7-Series electric trucks as "a leap forward for the market".
"Traditionally, some companies weighing up whether to invest in electric or diesel trucks opted for diesel as it promised advantages in performance and all-weather reliability. Our new 7-Series range means there is no longer a compromise on performance and their running costs are lower as they use electricity rather than diesel. On top of that, they have zero emissions which is an increasingly significant factor in buyers' decision-making processes."
Improvements in the range include a newly designed steer axle which reduces the forklift's turning radius by 160 mm to just 1,795 mm. This is more than 100 mm better than the equivalent models from most competitors, Doosan claims.
The new models also include finger-tip controls, a top-of-the-range Grammer seat and a small and responsive steering wheel in an operator compartment with increased legroom and optimal visibility.
The new side lift-in/lift-out battery change system allows batteries to be switched quickly and safely using only a simple hand pallet truck.
The 1.5 to 2.0 T range is available now, with production starting in January on Doosan's 2.5 T models.
