Trukkila Oy, a new specialised warehouse logistics company, has been appointed as the official importer for Doosan forklifts in Finland.

The first orders have already been delivered to the customers.

"Now we have changed colours to 'Doosan orange', we have the right tools to boost our sales," says general manager Tomi Taipale. "(In addition), we have other [advantages] like service and spare parts. Our working people have knowledge of forklifts and we are located on E18 main road, where we have also a show area for new and used forklifts."

Sales manager Pekka Heinonen says that the company's service network covers the whole of Finland. "We sell and deliver machines, attachments, other equipment, spare parts and (provide) service for all forklifts. Our product range also covers other aspects of the materials handling business, like rack shelves and special machines."

The first Doosan forklifts have already been delivered and machines are on show at the Lieto office, with more stock on the way, Heinonen adds.

Doosan general director Harry Chung is satisfied with his new partner. "Workers from Trukkila are motivated, they have that long-term vision and [the firm's] financial situation is also strong. I believe that Doosan has a good partner in Trukkila," he says, adding that the two parties have co-operated previously.

Doosan will service its new dealer from its logistics centre in Belgium, and can deliver new forklifts within three weeks to Finland.

"I expect that total sales will still rise a bit this year ... even if the economic situation is still dropping. But still, we are not on the same level as before the European crisis," Chung says.
