GAF Equipment Inc now represents the Doosan forklift brand in a 13-county region of south Florida.
Doosan Industrial Vehicle America Corp (DIVAC) of Suwanee, Georgia named GAF Equipment as a Doosan dealer effective from 1 May. Within this market, GAF succeeds Kelly Tractor Co of Miami, Florida as the Doosan representative, according to Ed Valdes, GAF Equipment support manager.
GAF started in 1979 and sells, services and rents forklifts and lifting equipment as an independent dealer. The family-owned firm has 21 employees and occupies 24,000 sqft. (2,230 sqm) in Hialeah.
GAF has an inventory of certified off-lease and refurbished equipment with more than 300 forklifts at its disposal. As needed, GAF can export equipment for customers in Central and South America and the Caribbean.
DIVAC occupies 170,000 sqft. (15,793 sqm) for headquarters, sales, marketing, parts and warehousing functions in Suwanee and conducts product and service support, machine order, and traffic and logistics activities from a 26,500 sqft. (2,462 sqm) regional facility in Warrensville Heights, Ohio.
The Ohio site serves as the main distribution point for Doosan units brought into North America including the LPG-fueled cushion-tyre Doosan model GC25E-5 with lifting capacity of 5,000 lb. (2,250 kg) and a 65.3 hp G424IE engine.
