What are your company's products/services?

Glacier Computer designs, manufactures and supports rugged, PC-compatible industrial computers for use in warehouse, shop floor, logistics and heavy industrial environments. The computers are commonly installed on forklifts, construction vehicles, dock doors, police cars and fixed-mount data collection locations. All computers are configured with 802.11 A/B/G standard wireless.

Give a brief history of your company's involvement in the materials handling industry.

Glacier was founded in 2000 by Ron D'Ambrosio, John Geary, Don Berch, and Dan Poisson. Geary, Poisson, and Berch had many years of rugged computer industry experience while D'Ambrosio brought electronics industry and management acumen to the table.
Glacier was founded to fill a void in the rugged computer marketplace for a truly tough device backed by rapid response and above-average customer service. Too often, the industry has been plagued by providers slow to call back and slower to respond to the issue at hand.

In its six-year operation, Glacier has supplied computers for forklift mounting at Fortune 500 companies that include Roadway Express, Georgia Pacific, Nestle, Polaris Industries, and others.

What is your company's current position in the regional market? How about globally?

Glacier sells to and supports customers in the US, Canada and Europe. Repair services are offered at numerous locations.

What makes your company outstanding in its market?

Glacier sells a very rugged unit designed to run 24/7 for a minimum of five years. The computers work in environments of extreme temperature, shock, vibration and airborne contaminants. Glacier units can be mounted on forklifts and over-road vehicles with 12, 24, 36 and 48VDC electrical systems. Glacier separates itself from its competition by providing unmatched service and customer response.

Tell us your company's future plans.

Glacier will announce its fourth generation forklift computer in the second quarter of 2006. The unit will leapfrog the competition in numerous areas, including processing power, expansion, durability, screen options and diagnostic tools.
