CNH Global NV will donate more than USD1 million of Case and New Holland construction equipment to support ongoing relief efforts related to Hurricane Katrina.

Included in the contribution is about USD200,000 of construction equipment from Kobelco, its global alliance partner.

CNH president and CEO Harold Boyanovsky said the company was pleased to provide equipment needed to begin the process of rebuilding hurricane-affected communities.

"Our deepest condolences go to all those who have been affected directly or indirectly by this immense natural disaster," Boyanovsky said.

CNH is also matching individual employee donations to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund on a dollar-for-dollar basis, up to USD250,000.
