No forklifts at the 2019 Brisbane Truck Show |
Materials handling technology will feature for the first time at the CEBIT show in Sydney next year.
Organiser Hannover Fairs Australia has announced that it will introduce a new zone at the IT show dedicated to the technologies that are driving Industry 4.0.
The CeMAT Digital zone is aimed at a visitor audience "from a broad range of sectors including heavy industry, logistics and supply chain, warehousing, transportation, utilities, resources, healthcare and pharmaceuticals", according to the prospectus.
No exhibitor details are yet available.
CEBIT 2019 will be held from October 29-31 at ICC Sydney.
Meanwhile, organisers have confirmed that forklifts and materials handling equipment will not be featured at next year's Brisbane Truck Show.
A spokesman told
Forkliftaction News the forklifts won't be on show "due to the increased demand for space for our core truck and trailer manufacturer members".
Last year, several manufacturers and importers showed off a range of materials handling solutions.
There are suggestions that "yellow gear" will be invited back to the Brisbane event in 2021.
